I received this request from eve6goldberg earlier today. I’ve always enjoyed this episode’s ambiguous ending, as well as the scene where Scully sings “Joy to the World” by Three Dog Night to the injured Mulder. Here I have the agents crowded in by the dangerous forest that surrounds them as well as the evolved creatures that dwell within.
This poster is in the style of artist Saul Bass, famous for his work on “Vertigo”, “Anatomy of a Murder” and “The Shining”, among many other films from the era. The episode is about Mulder dealing with a convicted serial killer (played by the excellent Tom Noonan) who claims to have murdered…
"The Post Modern Prometheus" is so tied to the story of Frankenstein that it’s even named after that book’s subtitle. Instead of basing this work on the famous 1931 film adaptation’s poster, I drew my inspiration from a poster for a different Boris Karloff film of that era, "Ghoul". Of course, unlike The Great Mutato neither of Karloff’s characters had a thing for Cher… that we know of.
